Q. Is there some way to read and write INI files?
For any given INI file, from C, you can use Windows' getProfileString()
and setProfileString()
functions. From Lingo, Zeus sells a
utility to read and write INI files.
Q. How can I check the DIRECTOR.INI settings from Lingo?
DIRECTOR.INI is only used during development. For release, it must be renamed
to match the projector, so you would need to know it's name. If the projector
is named "MyProj.EXE", you would read the file "MyProj.INI".
During development, the Director.INI file could be examined instead. Assuming
that the user uses this file as the basis for the projector INI, you should
be okay.
There is no way to get the name of the Projector.EXE file in which you are
running.
