  Principal
  Principal of multimedia consultancy offering programming services for Macromedia Director and (Lingo) and Flash (ActionScript). As the owner of my own consultancy I have extensive experience in all areas of running a company from both technical and business perspectives.

I am a world-renowned Director and Lingo developer and the author of several books including "Lingo in a Nutshell" and "Director in a Nutshell" published by O'Reilly & Associates. I am the editor of numerous Flash and ActionScript books from O'Reilly (see http://zeusprod.com/flashbooks.html for the complete list, including several well-respected books by Colin Moock.).

I have programmed dozens of commercial CD-ROM titles, including "Last Call" a bartending simulation for Cutler Creative (http://www.lastcallgame.com) published by Simon & Schuster Interactive. This game features heavy database and AI components as well as extensive use of Macromedia Flash animation.

I have programmed numerous other multimedia sales presentations, kiosks, and training modules for Fortune 500 companies such as Nestle, Dun & Bradstreet, Mass Mutual, and Chrysler. One recent project was an extensive SQL-database-driven touchscreen kiosk for Maytag.

I have extremely broad and deep knowledge of all aspects of multimedia production including project budgeting, estimation, and management, plus content specification, development, and delivery on both CD-ROMs and the internet (Shockwave and Flash Player).

I have extensive experience with everything from user interface and human design issues to low level database and device interface programming.

  Computer Consultant
  As a computer consultant placed at various software companies in the SF Bay Area, I programmed primarily in C and FORTRAN on UNIX (Sun Sparc) and VAX/VMS systems. For about 2 years of the 3.5 years I worked for Telos, I was placed at a satellite imaging company where I did a lot of GUI work, including Motif/X-Windows. I also did a lot of device interface work with various color printers and film recorders, most with GPIB or serial interfaces.

I also have a working knowledge of many business and legal issues including contract law, copyright law, and patent law.

I have a patent pending on collaborative online database software that I've designed (see opendata.org) for the purposes of streamlining information management and project management. The product is also designed for the creation of knowledgebases, bug reporting systems, beta-testing, and technical support databases.
